Chapters on the mechanism and action of the gamma camera and quality control are followed by sections on patient preparation, how to carry out effective scintigraphic examiniations and how to interpret and understand the images acquired. Section two of the book goes on to study the normal appearance of the skeleton in the horse, as well as the most common examples of abnormality. Seperate chapters address the performance sports horse, the racing Thoroughbred, and the Standardbred.
